 DR Analyst: Does that, plus subscribes to numerous industry journals and government agency publications.
 
 Harvey: Compares HopeTech to other stocks he'd like to buy.
 DR Analyst: Compares the company against dozens or hundreds in the same industry.
 
 Harvey: Goes online in the hope that his favorite investment website says something about HopeTech.
 DR Analyst: Talks frequently with industry experts to stay on top of industry trends.
 
 Harvey: Buys a few HopeTech products to see if they're any good.
 DR Analyst: May conduct a site visit to the corporate headquarters and factory.
 
 Harvey: Notices HopeTech's commercials on TV.

 Harvey: Dreams about winning one of those public stock-picking contests.
 DR Analyst: Works for a firm which has had some of its analysts recognized for excellence by peer companies, peer analysts, and major media.
