Jim Chapman
Private Client Group President, East Division

Jim Chapman was named president of the Private Client Group's East division in January 2006. Mr. Chapman oversees the East region, Midwest region and Southeastern states and drives strategy, recruiting and revenue growth initiatives in the division.

Mr. Chapman was named senior vice president and regional director of the Midwest region in 2001 and oversaw all investment activities and service to individual investors and small businesses in the region. Mr. Chapman originally joined the firm in 1996 as branch manager of the Chicago office.

Before coming to RBC Dain Rauscher, he worked at Prudential Securities since 1986 and was its branch manager in Morristown, N.J., in 1996. Early in his career, Mr. Chapman held various positions at Prudential Securities including director of national sales, sales manager of the Pacific North region, associate director of two other regions and branch manager in San Francisco.
